The Schistura aizawlensis is a small, slender loach known for its adaptability to aquarium settings, provided conditions are optimal. It thrives in groups, and it is important to maintain clean, oxygen-rich water with plenty of hiding spaces within the tank to replicate its natural habitat. They are bottom dwellers, often found foraging through substrate for food. A sandy or fine gravel substrate with smooth stones and driftwood will provide a great environment for the Aizawl Loach. A tightly fitting lid is advisable as they are known to be skillful jumpers.
