Schistura geisleri, or Geisler's Loach, is a small and active loach species known for its distinctive pattern and vibrant social behavior. It's ideal for an aquarium setup that mimics fast-flowing streams with plenty of hiding spots and smooth substrate to prevent injury to its delicate barbels. Given its active nature, maintaining good water flow and quality is crucial. This species is known for periodically hiding in the substrate, thus maintaining soft and rounded gravel is optimal. Additionally, they can be territorial, especially when in smaller groups, thus larger tanks with ample spaces and tunnels can help mitigate aggressive interactions. Feeding primarily on small invertebrates, they will also accept sinking granules and high-quality dried foods.
