Schistura jarutanini is best kept in groups to promote positive behavior, but it requires ample space to avoid territorial disputes. Compatibility with other fast-moving, similarly sized peaceful species is advisable. Due to its active swimming, a long tank with adequate swimming space is more beneficial than a deep one.
