To thrive in captivity, they require an environment replicating their native fast-flowing streams, with abundant smooth rocks and ensuring high oxygen levels. Preferably kept in groups to promote natural behavior and reduce stress. Good water quality and flow are essential. Not suited to tanks with high temperatures or low-oxygen environments.
