Sewellia lineolata
Reticulated Hillstream Loach, Tiger Hillstream Loach
Sewellia lineolata is known for its mesmerizing pattern of lines and spots, resembling a tiger's stripes. It is a peaceful, bottom-dwelling fish known for its unique suction ability, allowing it to cling to rocks in fast currents typical of its natural habitat. To thrive in captivity, they require an environment replicating their native fast-flowing streams, with abundant smooth rocks and ensuring high oxygen levels. Preferably kept in groups to promote natural behavior and reduce stress. Good water quality and flow are essential. Not suited to tanks with high temperatures or low-oxygen environments.
