Sorubimichthys planiceps

Sorubimichthys planiceps is one of the largest catfish species found in the Amazon. It is mainly a solitary species and primarily carnivorous. Due to its large size and rapid growth rate, it requires an exceptionally large aquarium or tank to thrive in captivity. This fish is not recommended for beginners due to its size, diet, and tank requirements. Besides a spacious environment, it needs a well-filtered tank with strong water movement to mimic its natural riverine conditions.
