Squalius cephalus is a robust freshwater species, known for its flexibility in different environmental conditions. They are fast swimmers and prefer rivers, streams, and large lakes. These fish are omnivorous, feeding on invertebrates, small fish, and plant material. They are also known for their silvery body and distinct dark fins. The Chub requires a spacious tank to accommodate its active nature and swimming patterns. A setup with good filtration and water movement is recommended to mimic their natural habitat.
