Synodontis petricola is a popular aquarium catfish due to its peaceful nature and unique breeding habits. Known as "Cuckoo Catfish," it exhibits mimicry behavior during spawning by sneaking its eggs in the nests of mouthbrooding cichlids. Although peaceful, they are active swimmers and require plenty of hiding places in the tank.
