Synodontis schall

Synodontis schall, known for its distinctive catfish body and occasional upside-down swimming (especially as a juvenile), requires ample space due to its size. They prefer a spacious, well-decorated aquarium with hiding spots mimicking its natural surroundings. Though generally peaceful, they can be territorial with conspecifics, thus requiring caution when kept in groups. A large tank with robust water filtration is essential to manage their bio-load, particularly because they enjoy a diverse diet that might include sinking pellets, frozen foods, and live invertebrates. Maintaining clean, well-oxygenated water is critical for health.
