The Honey Gourami is a peaceful species that can be kept with other non-aggressive fish. They are notable for their vibrant colors and the calming presence they bring to aquariums. Given their labyrinth organ, they can also breathe atmospheric air, which allows them to survive in low-oxygen environments. However, they thrive best in well-aerated environments with access to surface air.
