Moonlight Gouramis are known for their peaceful disposition, making them suitable for community tanks. However, they may exhibit shy and reclusive behaviors, so ensure a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding spots. This species also appreciates some surface coverage of plants due to their labyrinth organ allowing them to gulp air from the surface. Breeding involves bubble nest building, and they show parental investment by guarding their eggs. They are omnivorous, accepting a wide variety of foods ranging from flakes, pellets to live and frozen food. Added tank companions should be peaceful to ensure stress-free environments for these fish.
