Aphyosemion congicum is a peaceful fish that thrives in well-arranged tanks with plenty of plants and hiding spaces. They are primarily carnivorous, feeding on small aquatic insects and larvae in the wild. Breeding them can be challenging as they require specific breeding conditions to ensure the survival of fry. Community tanks should be cautiously considered since they may become shy or stressed with more active or aggressive tank mates. Weekly water changes and a well-maintained aquarium are pivotal for their health.
