Astyanax kennedyi, or Kennedy's Tetra, are robust and adaptable species that are often appreciated for their peaceful demeanor and vibrant scales. Ideal for community tanks, they coexist well with other non-aggressive species. They benefit from a planted tank with ample swimming space and occasional dappled light mimicking their natural habitats. Their omnivorous diet requires a mix of flake foods, live or frozen brine shrimp, and the occasional plant matter.
