Barbodes lateristriga

Barbodes lateristriga is a peaceful, active schooling species that prefers the middle regions of the water column. It exhibits a distinctive horizontal stripe running along its body, making it a visually appealing addition to aquariums. This species is best kept in groups of at least six to eight individuals to replicate natural schooling behavior, reducing stress and aggression. They appreciate a planted tank environment with ample swimming space.
