Dario hysginon is a stunningly vibrant fish known for its rich red color, with a timid disposition often seen amongst small intricate aquascapes. Prefer solitary or pair settings for breeding; requires hiding places and dense vegetation. Displays intricate and territorial behaviors, especially in males, which can lead to aggressive interactions. Recommended to house with other peaceful fish species that are not fin nippers.
