The Homaloptera orthogoniata, commonly known as the Snake Hillstream Loach, is known for its unique body structure with a flattened appearance, ideal for clinging to rocks in fast-flowing waters. Maintaining a high level of oxygen and ensuring a strong current in the tank simulates their natural habitat, reducing stress and promoting activity. They exhibit peaceful behavior and can be a good addition to a community tank, though ideal companions are other non-aggressive species.
