Labeotropheus fuelleborni are colorful, robust cichlids known for their unique mouth structure that assists in scraping algae from rocks. They exhibit a wide range of color variations, primarily due to geographic location within the lake. Males typically display more vibrant colors, especially when in breeding condition. This species is aggressive, especially males, therefore it's recommended to provide plenty of hiding spots and maintain adequate population to disperse aggression.
