Lepidocephalichthys guntea, also known as the Giant Loach, is a peaceful bottom-dwelling fish that can add vibrant activity to community tanks. They are social and can be kept in groups of five or more to exhibit natural behavior. They prefer well-vegetated tanks with plenty of hiding spots and a soft substrate to mimic their natural habitat, where they enjoy burrowing. Regular water changes and good filtration help maintain the water quality these loaches prefer. Given their potential to become startled, it is advisable to avoid sudden movements and loud noises near the tank.
