Melanochromis cyanerorhabdos
Maingano Cichlid, Maingano, Blue Stripe Mbuna
M. cyanerorhabdos are known for their striking blue and black stripes. They exhibit typical Mbuna behavior and are best kept in a species-specific or well-planned community tank to manage aggression. These fish exhibit a mouthbrooding reproductive habit, where the females carry fertilized eggs in their mouths until they hatch. In the wild, they thrive in rocky habitats that provide cover and territory boundaries.
