Rhinogobius zhoui

Rhinogobius zhoui is a small, bottom-dwelling fish known for its intricate patterns and colors. Best kept in a species-specific or well-chosen community tank with peaceful bottom-dwellers. A well-aerated tank with adequate hiding spots and a sandy or pebbly substrate is ideal. They are carnivorous, consuming small invertebrates in the wild, and should be fed a varied diet of frozen or live food such as brine shrimp or daphnia in captivity. Care should be taken to ensure that larger, more aggressive fish do not intimidate or outcompete them for food. Breeding in captivity is rare but possible; requires setting up conducive environmental conditions and provisions for fry collection.
