Schistura disparizona is a small, elongated loach that thrives in a well-oxygenated, flowing water environment. Known for its distinctive dark stripes that run horizontally along its body, these loaches are bottom-dwellers and exhibit active behavior, especially in crevices and around rocks. They are generally peaceful but may exhibit territorial behavior among their kind. As riverine inhabitants, they mimic upstream swimming even in aquaria, which should be emulated by ensuring a current in the tank. These fish will benefit from regular water changes and a varied diet consisting of live, frozen, and high-quality dry foods. It is best to keep them in groups of at least 5 to encourage natural behavior.
