Schistura yingjiangensis is a bottom-dwelling species with a penchant for rocky substrates and dissolved oxygen-rich waters. Known for its vibrant coloration and peaceful nature, it's an excellent choice for community tanks with other non-aggressive species. As a riverine loach, it adores a strong current and plenty of hiding spots created with rocks and driftwood. A sand or finer gravel substrate is preferable to mimic its natural environment and prevent damage to its barbels. In captivity, it gladly accepts a varied diet consisting of quality sinking pellets, thawed frozen foods like bloodworms, and a mix of vegetables. Replicating seasonal variations and maintaining pristine water quality is vital for its longevity and well-being.
