Stiphodon alcedo is a small, vibrantly colored goby known for its unique behavior of clinging to surfaces with its fused pelvic fins. They thrive in clean, well-oxygenated water often found in fast-moving streams and rivers. Known to be peaceful tank mates, they do best in environments replicating their natural flowing habitats with plenty of oxygen and low current breaks for resting. Due to their grazing habits, they should not be kept with cleaner fish to prevent starvation.
