Distribution
Thymallus thymallus is primarily found in Europe, mainly within the regions from France in the west to the Ural Mountains in Russia in the east. Its range includes the British Isles, Scandinavian countries, the Baltic and Black Sea basins, and parts of Central and Eastern Europe.
