Trachydoras paraguayensis

Trachydoras paraguayensis is known for its armored body and nocturnal lifestyle. It prefers shaded or dimly lit aquariums with plenty of hiding spots created using driftwood and rocks. It is a peaceful species, making it an ideal community fish that can be kept with other non-aggressive fish. The fish is known for being able to make sounds by moving its pectoral spines, a characteristic behavior of the 'talking catfish'.
