Zonancistrus pulcher, known for its striking striped pattern, is a peaceful species that makes an excellent addition to a mature community tank. They are generally shy and prefer habitats with plenty of cover, such as rocks, driftwood, and caves. Adequate filtration and regular water changes are vital to keep water quality high. Feeding can include a mix of vegetable matter, algae wafers, and occasional protein-rich treats. Observing their nocturnal nature, consider feeding them after the lights are out.
