Schistura callichroma

Schistura callichroma is a strikingly colorful species belonging to the loach family characterized by horizontal bands of orange-yellow stripes alternating with iridescent blues. These loaches are social creatures, often found grazing on biofilm and algae on rocks in their natural habitat. When kept in an aquarium, they require a well-oxygenated water environment with plenty of hideouts and a substrate of sand or small pebbles.
